13-14 August 2010, Hotel Jaypee Residency Manor, Mussoorie

At the 43rd Annual Convention of IPCA, around 275 delegates from professional pest management companies as well as product and equipment manufacturers, suppliers and experts from the pest management industry from across the country and abroad, attended the annual convention held at Hotel Jaypee Residency Manor, Mussoorie, on 13-14 August 2010.

The Chief Guest for the event was Mr. Hanbans Kapoor, Hon’ble Speaker, Vidhan Sabha, Uttarakhand and Dr. P.S. Chandurkar, former Plant Protection Advisor to Govt. of India was the Guest of Honour.

The concurrent exhibition was inaugurated by Mr. Ravinder Ahuja, Past President, IPCA. Numerous companies and organizations engaged in product manufacturing and supply from both India and abroad, participated in the exhibition through 18 stalls.

Renowned speakers, industry experts, Government Officials and representatives of reputed companies from India and abroad made presentations in keeping with the theme : “Green Pest Management”.

Mr. Mike Kelly, of Acheta Partnership – UK, presented his views on green pest management, in the morning technical session. The pre-lunch session saw Mrs. Rashmi Kasliwal, LEED Consultancy, Jaipur, make a presentation on the concept and requirements of green buildings, which was followed by Mr Jayant Dandawate, Vice President, Pest Control (India) Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, making a presentation on Food Safety and Standards keeping in mind green building requirements.

The post-lunch session saw presentations from Dr. A.M.K. Mohan Rao, Rodent Specialist, NIPHM Hyderabad, on the role of pest managers in integrated rodent management, which was followed by Dr. Anil K. Makkapati, Associate Manager, Bayer CropScience, Mumbai, who made a presentation on pest management in green buildings.

The post-lunch session saw presentations from Mr. Nikhil Chatterjee, Director, Gluework Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai, on pride and professionalism in pest management, followed by Mr. Atul Mehta, Indo-Gulf Pest Control, Delhi, making a presentation on Indian people and business.

The cultural programme on both evenings was thoroughly enjoyed by all delegates, as was the fantastic hotel property situated in the clouds, in the Queen of the Hills, Mussoorie.
